What is Electrofusion
  • Electrofusion is method of joining the inner surface of the EF fitting and outer surface of the pipe by generating heat by supplying electricity to the heating wire inside EF fittings. It is guarantee perfect gas tight and water tight.
  • Electrofusion is more easier and efficient fusion method than Butt-fusion.
Advantages of EF fittings
  • EF for the use in gas is connected to the automatic fusion fitting machine so that the fitting tiime is automatically set up and it is easy to operate the machine. 
  • As the fittings, specified per KS M ISO 8085-2,3 and KS M 3408-3, are identical in dimension to the main pipes and the coupling pipes, it is convenient to install
  • It is efficient to install as the fittings are lighter in weigh than other products.
  • The product lifetime is semi-permanent due to excellent resistance to corrosion, chemicals and cold temperature characteristic of the product raw material(PE)
  • •Because the automatic fusion machine is small and light, it is convenient to operate in the limited space or in the site of difficult construction.
  • Fusion processes are simpler and easier than for the butt welding.

  1. Preparing the tools and machines
    • Pipe cutting machine, fusion machine, tools

  2. Check the fusion machine condition. 
    • Capacity of generator should be over 5Kwatt and it should be used after more than 10 min idling
    • Power line length is within 20m, diameter of lead wire is over the 5 Ø.
    • Power rating: 110V±5V, 220V ±10V, 60Hz
    • Do not use for other machine during using fusion machine.

PE pipe is also suitable for transfer piping in slurry and dredging pipeline in the mine by the superior abrasion resistance of PE. 

Impact Resistance 

PE pipes has superior resistance from external shocks in order to prevent water leak by damage on a pipe from an earthquake or land subsidence. 

Economical Efficiency 

Polyethylene’s material cost is more cheaper and it has lower maintenance cost than other pipe material.
